Transport Compliance Manager, Salary: up to £50k + car allowance, benefits package & career opportunities, Based out of one of the North West service centres. 37.5hr week with 33 days holiday inc bank hols.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Compliance Manager to join a leading national, multi-site business. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar Transport Compliance Manager role with an up-to-date Transport Manager CPC, and experience of UK & EU legislation in all aspects of fleet and driver management and compliance.

The role:

As the Transport Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of a mixed fleet including HGVs, truck loader cranes, waste management tankers, and drivers within the region. You will be responsible for liaising with depot's throughout the region, ensuring vehicles are maintained in line with the Operator Licence undertakings and supplier agreements, keeping operational impact to an absolute minimum. You will be responsible for completing weekly compliance and KPI reports, highlighting performance trends and improvement opportunities. Taking charge of day-to-day planning and management of the region and trusted haulage partners.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in a similar Transport Compliance Manager role.
  • Up-to-date Transport Manager CPC
  • Experience of UK & EU legislation in all aspects of fleet and driver management and compliance.
  • Preferably have experience of managing a diverse fleet including HGV, truck loader cranes, waste tankers etc.
  • You should have a strong geographical understanding of the UK.
  • Possess influencing skills, a commitment to compliance, and a customer-focused mind-set with business acumen.
  • Building and effectively managing relationships with suppliers and haulage partners.
