- Programme Manager
- Manchester - 2 days a week on-site
- £640 - £680 per day (Inside IR35)
A Programme Manager is required for our client to play a key part in a new project that is underway that will allow the organisation to their digital web presence which will improve the ability to manage relationships with all stakeholders who associate with the organisation. This project will be delivered using a combination of external partners as well as some in-house delivery
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects
- Helping drive the strategy forward by aligning projects with the strategic goals and identifying benefits
- Show strong leadership by being focused, professional and motivated in delivering positive outcomes
- Leading the shaping of the initiative with key internal and external partners, ensuring clear strategic alignment through effectively consulting with key stakeholders
- Developing, monitoring and controlling the programme/portfolio plan whilst tracking the project teams progress
- Ensuring risks and issues are identified and monitored. Seeking support and input from the programme sponsor and other stakeholders to ensure escalation where appropriate
- Overall budget management activities for the initiative, including planning, reporting and forecasting
- Delivering a high level of stakeholder satisfaction, by providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders and governance bodies
The following will be highly beneficial for this role:
- Extensive digital experience, a robust understanding of Agile working methods, and an ability to engage an organisation with little experience of Agile working
- Significant experience of successfully managing major strategic change programmes
- Solid understanding of website technologies and operating models
- Strong commercial expertise, with an ability to drive delivery across a complex commercial landscape that blends in-house delivery with delivery by commercial partners. You should have a proven ability to direct, scrutinise, and challenge delivery by commercial partners
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to maximise impact in matrix organisations
