The Role

In this role, you will focus on generating new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with clients across a variety of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, converting leads into long-term clients.
  • Conduct detailed needs assessments to understand client requirements and risk profiles.
  • Provide bespoke commercial insurance solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Present detailed insurance proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape.
  • Meet and exceed new business targets consistently.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Account Executive or in a business development role within the insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and the Manchester market.
  • Excellent track record of securing and growing new business opportunities.
  • Cert CII qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive and consultative approach to client engagement.
  • Adaptable to a hybrid working model (split between office and remote).
