The Role
As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching that engages and motivates students with SEMH needs. You'll create a safe and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all pupils feel supported and inspired to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities


  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that are differentiated to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, managing challenging behaviours with empathy and consistency.

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed.

  • Work closely with the SEN team, pastoral staff, and parents/carers to support the holistic development of each student.

  • Contribute to the wider school community, participating in staff meetings, training, and school activities.


About You
We're looking for a resilient and enthusiastic English teacher who is:


  • Qualified: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential. Experience teaching students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.

  • Compassionate: Committed to supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges.

  • Creative: Skilled at planning innovative lessons that engage and inspire learners.

  • Adaptable: Able to manage a diverse range of needs and respond effectively to changing situations.
