Meridian Business Support are working on behalf of a state-of-the-art Further Education College based in the Greater Manchester area. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Department, with experience delivering A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit. to deliver stimulating and informative lessons to their students.

Role:
Head of Department -A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.
Location: Greater Manchester
Pay rate: 35.00 - 45.00 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 2 months/3 months, very possible extension for the right candidate

Role responsibilities:
  • To teach Tutorial / Film 1.5 hours
  • Must have experience of Head of Department for A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.
    Plan and deliver stimulating and exciting lessons
  • Experience as a manager required
  • To mark assessments
Ideal Candidates:
  • PGCE or other equivalent teaching qualification within Further Education
  • Experience as a Head of Department for A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.
  • Ideally the candidate should also have experience of delivering T levels
  • Able to mark assessments
  • A DBS on the update service
  • Can start work as soon as possible
Hours of work
  • 26 hours per week, Monday to Friday
