Meridian Business Support is seeking a qualified Head of Department for a Further Education College in Greater Manchester.
The role requires experience delivering A level subjects such as business, economics, film, journalism, media, and English Lang/Lit.
Candidates must have prior management experience and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
The pay rate for this position ranges from £35.00 to £45.00 per hour, with a commitment of 26 hours per week.
The ideal candidate should be available to start as soon as possible and have a DBS on the update service.

Meridian Business Support are working on behalf of a state-of-the-art Further Education College based in the Greater Manchester area. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Department, with experience delivering A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit. to deliver stimulating and informative lessons to their students.

Role: Head of Department -A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.
Location: Greater Manchester
Pay rate: £35.00 - £45.00 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 2 months/3 months, very possible extension for the right candidate

Role responsibilities:

To teach Tutorial / Film 1.5 hours
Must have experience of Head of Department for A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.
Plan and deliver stimulating and exciting lessons
Experience as a manager required
To mark assessments

Ideal Candidates:

PGCE or other equivalent teaching qualification within Further Education
Experience as a Head of Department for A level business, economics, film, journalism, media and English Lang/Lit.
Ideally the candidate should also have experience of delivering T levels
Able to mark assessments
A DBS on the update service
Can start work as soon as possible

Hours of work

26 hours per week, Monday to Friday
