An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Passive Fire Protection client as a Fire Safety Surveyor working in the Manchester area.

Role responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough fire compartmentation and Fire Door surveys across a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial.
  • Identifying and assessing fire-stopping issues, breaches in fire barriers, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Preparing detailed reports, including recommendations for remediation and ensuring all work meets current fire safety standards.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and project managers to communicate findings and provide expert guidance on fire compartmentation solutions.
  • Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with current fire safety regulations and building codes.

About you

  • Experience in compartmentation and fire door surveying is essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in fire compartmentation surveys and knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., BS 9999, BS 9991, etc.).
  • Familiar with survey recording software/apps/ systems such as OneTrace, Boris, Bolster etc.
  • Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, fire doors, and fire-stopping materials.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for report writing and client interaction.
  • Full UK driving license
