Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to focus on the servicing and repair of mobility equipment including medical hoists and beds.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, along with demonstrable experience in the field.
  • Competency in LOLER & PUWER regulations.
  • Previous experience in a medical device environment is preferred.
  • A valid full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

As a Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing and repairing equipment manufactured by our company and third-party manufacturers, both on-site and at customer premises.
  • Developing and maintaining exceptional product knowledge regarding our equipment and components.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and their caregivers by working in a clean, tidy, and friendly manner while ensuring efficiency.
  • Using appropriate and safe equipment while adhering to Health and Safety guidelines during service tasks.
  • Committing to a 40-hour workweek within core hours, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Participating in an on-call team rota, working one week out of four, which includes weekends.
  • Demonstrating clear and effective communication skills.
  • Occasionally supporting Ceiling Track Hoist installers as needed.
  • Managing your daily workload in compliance with contracted Service Level Agreements.
