Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to focus on the servicing and repair of mobility equipment including medical hoists and beds.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, along with demonstrable experience in the field.
- Competency in LOLER & PUWER regulations.
- Previous experience in a medical device environment is preferred.
- A valid full UK driving licence is essential.
As a Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and repairing equipment manufactured by our company and third-party manufacturers, both on-site and at customer premises.
- Developing and maintaining exceptional product knowledge regarding our equipment and components.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and their caregivers by working in a clean, tidy, and friendly manner while ensuring efficiency.
- Using appropriate and safe equipment while adhering to Health and Safety guidelines during service tasks.
- Committing to a 40-hour workweek within core hours, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Participating in an on-call team rota, working one week out of four, which includes weekends.
- Demonstrating clear and effective communication skills.
- Occasionally supporting Ceiling Track Hoist installers as needed.
- Managing your daily workload in compliance with contracted Service Level Agreements.
