Exciting Service Manager Opportunity in Children's Services - Tameside, Greater Manchester

Are you a seasoned leader in fostering, placements, and adoption services? Do you have the drive to make a lasting impact on children's lives? If so, we have an exceptional interim opportunity for you!

We're looking for a Service Manager to join Tameside's dedicated Children's Services team. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping fostering services, managing talented teams, and collaborating with the Regional Adoption Agency to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Fostering Service (overseeing 3 Team Managers) and the Placements Team (1 Team Manager).
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Adoption Agency to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with National Minimum Standards, Regulations, and Statutory Guidance.
  • Drive performance to achieve outstanding inspection results.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with foster carers and children, engaging them in service improvements.
  • Champion high aspirations for all children under corporate parenting duties.
  • Motivate, manage, and develop your teams to consistently deliver excellence.

About You:

  • You have 3-5 years of management experience in fostering and adoption services.
  • You hold a BSc in Social Work or an equivalent qualification, with Social Work England Registration.
  • Proven leadership in building and developing high-performing teams in fostering and adoption.
  • A results-oriented professional with a passion for delivering high-quality services to children and families.
