Your new companyYou will be joining a supported accommodation service which takes a client centred holistic approach to provide care, support, education, housing, and other related services to their service users. Supporting Children and young adults across their services to take steps towards independence and fostering a smooth transition in adult life. You will be working in their Residential site alongside their educational centre providing support to those with Autism and surrounding difficulties. They are committed to improving the outcomes of their young people, encouraging positive achievements whilst also creating life-changing experiences/opportunities. Your new company is currently looking to onboard a range of residential support workers ideally holding NVQ level 3, if not this will be fully funded with on shift time to complete the qualification. You will thrive knowing you are working for a care provider that will go the extra mile for their clients, through individualised support programme to aid achieving potential, in a safe way, at our client's own pace. You will also be fully supported in your own personal development within this role, whilst service users are at school, you will be completing training and workshops when not planning evening activities for our users.Your new role

  • You'll provide emotional support to our young people and help with day-to-day activities such as getting washed, dressed and out to school. if you are working a shift during the weekend, you will barely be on-site at the home because of planned activities/days out.
  • Understand and implement carefully thought-out individual care plans
  • Personal Care will be required in any role with our company
  • Ensure the safety and confidentiality of those you support, adhering to safeguarding regulation and GDPR
  • Recognising actual or potential challenging situations and navigating this through correct procedure
  • Building strong rapport with the children you support
  • Engaging in fun, active, and educational activities to nurture independence and confidence
  • Provide a safe, welcoming and homely atmosphere
  • General housekeeping
  • Aiding those you support with their day-to-day tasks, which may include elements of personal care

What you'll need to succeed

  • Uphold company ethos and values throughout the service.
  • UK Driving licence. ESSENTIAL
  • Experience and empathy towards the people in our care who have mental health concerns.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Residential Childcare etc. (Already held or in process)
  • Candidates must have the right to work within the UK.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to have a positive and sensitive approach when working with young people.
