Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering immediate emotional support and guidance through telephone-based counselling services.
  • Conducting clinical assessments, risk assessments, and providing appropriate signposting.
  • Working in line with BACP ethics, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Engaging in structured video counselling sessions, with time counted towards BACP accreditation.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all case management is handled efficiently.
  • Providing CBT mentoring and applying solution-focused techniques to help callers reach positive outcomes.
  • Participating in ongoing training, working with complex issues such as trauma and safeguarding.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4) with at least 150 counselling hours.
  • 12 months’ post-qualification experience and a registered member of BACP (or equivalent).
  • High level of computer literacy and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Experience dealing with safeguarding concerns and suicidal ideation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
