Housing OfficerGeneric Housing ManagementManchester35 Hours3 Month Contract£21.06 p/hOne of the most prominent housing associations in the North West is recruiting for a Housing Officer to provide a strong housing management service for their residents across South ManchesterThe RoleThe focus of this Housing Officer role is provide a housing management service to residents, covering ASB, rent arrears, tenancy management and attending court where required.This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Tenant Support and Engagement: Assist tenants with housing needs, resolve queries, and encourage community involvement.
  • Tenancy Management: Manage property allocations, lettings, and conduct property inspections.
  • Rent and Arrears Management: Monitor rent payments, address arrears, and provide financial advice to tenants.
  • Property Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, ensuring properties are well-maintained.
  • Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with housing regulations and maintain accurate records of all housing activities.

The CandidateTo be considered for this Housing Officer role, you will need prior experience in housing management, as well as the below:

  • Knowledge of Housing Legislation: Understanding of housing laws, tenancy agreements, and rent processes.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with tenants and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain records, and use housing management software.
  • Customer-Focused Attitude: Commitment to high-quality service, empathy, and sensitivity to tenant needs.
