Are you passionate about providing high-quality housing management and support services to older people? We are recruiting for a Scheme Coordinator to join a Housing Association on a temporary basis in Fallowfield, Manchester.

THE ROLEAs a Scheme Coordinator, you will ensure efficient housing management services and a safe, welcoming environment for residents. Your role will involve:

  • Coordinating the scheme and supervising staff to deliver high-quality service.
  • Conducting health and safety inspections, including fire alarm and building checks.
  • Managing scheme allocations, tenancy sign-ups, and void procedures.
  • Organising social activities and liaising with community initiatives.
  • Responding to customer queries and providing day-to-day support.
  • Monitoring service delivery and maintaining compliance with housing regulations.
  • Assisting with cleaning communal areas, ensuring high standards are met.

THE CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within housing or property management, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will also need:

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting older people in a housing or care environment.
  • Ability to manage contractors and carry out building compliance checks.
  • A flexible, proactive approach to work and problem-solving.

An Enhanced DBS (Adult Workforce) with the Adult barred list is required for this role.

THE CONTRACTThis is a temporary 3-month contract, with the potential for temp-to-perm extension.

  • Flexible working hours: 20 hours per week as a Scheme Coordinator (£17.90 per hour) and 5 hours per week as a Scheme Assistant (£15.04 per hour).
  • Hourly Pay: £15.80 LTD / £13.47 PAYE (inclusive of holiday).
