Randstad is recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Tameside Local Authority's Early Help Team. This is a full-time role with a fantastic pay rate of £37 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the leadership and management team
  • Provide oversight for Early Help referrals received through the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and the Team Around the Setting (TAS)
  • Make decisions based on the Tameside Threshold of Need document
  • Offer management oversight and case direction to Early Help Advisers, and allocate cases
  • Ensure decision-making supports positive outcomes for children, young people, and families
  • Professionally challenge where required to ensure effective support is delivered
  • Supervise Early Help Advisers and manage their caseloads, ensuring adherence to timescales and performance indicators
  • Quality assure decisions made by Early Help Advisers in line with thresholds
  • Identify trends, conduct audits, and collect data to enhance service development and training needs
  • Work closely with partner agencies (schools, health, social care, police, voluntary sector)
  • Support step up/step down processes with Targeted Family Help to ensure appropriate services are in place
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Early Help service

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced DBS

Experience:

  • Children's social work
