This local authority based in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Social Worker to be part of Adults Locality Team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for social workers with a strong background in adult safeguarding and statutory adult services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safeguarding services to adults at risk within the community.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 20 cases (depending on complexity), ensuring all interventions are compliant with the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Contribute to the duty function on a rota basis, responding to urgent cases and providing ongoing support.
  • Engage in court work as required, ensuring legal compliance and protection of vulnerable individuals.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care interventions that best meet the needs of service users.

Working Arrangements:

  • Caseload: Approximately 20 cases, dependent on complexity.
  • Work Environment: 50% office-based with flexibility for remote working.
  • Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:45 pm.
