Senior Developer (Technical Architect)

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a client operating across the Transportation sector, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, such as Local Authorities, Train Operating Companies, Network Rail, TfN, and the DfT, to drive positive outcomes.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Location: Manchester (Hybrid working arrangement)

**Fixed Term contract for 12 months**

Role:

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a local authority seeking an experienced and personable Senior Developer to join their analytical team. This role is crucial in leading the development and maintenance of web services and visualisation dashboards while actively engaging with stakeholders to ensure real-time updates and seamless functionality.

Unlike a traditional IT role, this position is embedded within the analytical team, requiring a strong balance of technical expertise and interpersonal skills. You will play a key role in the ongoing development of publicly visible technical products, including the organisation's website, ensuring they meet stakeholder requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to design and develop web services that support various analytical projects.
  • Utilise wireframing software, ideally Microsoft Azure, to create prototypes and user interface designs.
  • Develop and maintain static and dynamic web front-ends, including interactive dashboards, interactive GIS models, and data visualisations.
  • Work with web-centric programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and PHP to create scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders to adjust and refine web pages in real-time based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Ensure best coding practices, functionality alignment, and smooth delivery of website development projects.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing web services.
  • Familiarity with wireframing tools, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience in website development with strong problem-solving and adaptability skills and the ability to demonstrate a structured approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with non-technical stakeholders and adjust website components dynamically.
  • Flexibility to be in the Manchester office 2-3 days per week.
