Company Overview: I am working with a software house located in the City Centre of Manchester. They are actively seeking a talented Mid-Weight Node.js Developer to join their innovative team. If you're passionate about Node.js development and crave a dynamic work environment, this could be your perfect opportunity. Due to high demand, the company has a small development team and is looking to expand in 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable solutions using Node.js.
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code, ensuring high code quality.
- Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Contribute actively to code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, bringing in new technologies to enhance our projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mid-Weight Node.js Developer.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and expertise in Node.js.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with popular Node.js frameworks and libraries, especially Express.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
- Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Previous involvement in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
