About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • As a SEN Teaching assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 child with mild learning difficulties and social-emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies that promote the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment to help the pupil thrive.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to relevant staff and parents.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of strategies to support children with learning difficulties and social-emotional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable.
