Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, no weekends

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Crumpsall, Manchester. This full-time, long-term position is set to commence in January 2025.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. The school prides itself on its inclusive environment and is looking for someone who shares their commitment to enhancing student outcomes.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Adopt a warm and friendly approach to teaching, striving to improve outcomes for all pupils.

  • Encourage and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential, implementing effective behaviour management in line with school policy.

  • Collaborate effectively with the teaching team, adhering to the school's policies.

  • Build strong relationships with students and staff, contributing to a positive school atmosphere.

  • Create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience supporting students with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.

  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies, with familiarity in working with individuals on the autism spectrum.

  • Ability to collaborate with lead teachers and other staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Minimum of 6 months UK experience in a similar role.

  • Relevant qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
