SEN Practitioner - Gorton, Manchester.

Educate GM’s partner school in Gorton, Manchester is looking for an experienced SEN Practitioner to join their blossoming, diverse school. We are looking for experienced, highly motivated individuals to be part our thriving team. About the SEN Practitioner Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children with a range of different needs, alongside the class teacher in a mainstream school. Ideally, you should be someone who has lots of experience working with SEN and knows what it takes to support them. We need someone patient, understanding, caring, and enthusiastic. You will have exceptional communication skills and a real passion for working in education, especially with SEN children. You will also be required to support the class teacher in daily classroom tasks such as delivering group interventions, setting up daily resources, and attending school trips.

The role is full-time, for the full academic year and will commence ASAP. This great opportunity will pay £90-£100 a day, depending on experience.

You will be joining a blossoming school within Gorton, Manchester. The school has lovely, supportive staff members passionate about high standards. The school encourages staff development and there are always opportunities to grow your skills as a teaching assistant.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Teaching Assistant Qualification or working towards one
  • Experience working with SEN children
  • Experience in a UK school
  • Experience in delivering interventions is desirable
  • Caring and enthusiastic personality
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A passion for helping children excel
  • Great behaviour management

All candidates must have:

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
