Job Overview

Specialist Window Cleaning (SWC), part of the OCS Group, are currently recruiting for an IRATA Level 1 Technician to join our team to work on various commercial and residential buildings in and around Manchester.

You will be required to work on various buildings in and around Manchester, commercial and residential. Predominantly window cleaning tasks but we also have gutter cleaning, surveys, roof repairs and pest control tasks.

We provide Commercial and Retail clients with industry leading service levels via our highly trained teams who are here to provide the best for our customers, across all sectors.

We are looking for a keen, hardworking individual with a can-do attitude who also understands the importance of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out works scheduled in a timely, safe manner.
  • You may be required to drive company vehicles.
  • You will work safely under the supervision of a Level 3 Technician in multi-storey buildings and will experience working at height.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced.
  • Report any faults to supervisor/ management.
  • Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place. Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards e.g., blocked/locked fire doors.
  • Communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient, caring and friendly service to customers and clients in all areas of service, which SWC Ltd provide.
  • Report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible. Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage or other irregularities to the Line Manager/ supervisor.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Key Result Indicators:

  • All cleaning and hygiene standards to meet service specification
  • Deliver a consistent level of service, within the Company's standards, to the contract specification and agreed performance levels.
  • Comply with Company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Full UK Driving License
  • You will hold an IRATA Level 1certificate
  • You will have window cleaning experience
  • Experience on working in high buildings
  • You will have the ability to communicate with people of all levels including clients and internal contacts.
  • You must have the ability to work well on your own, be self-sufficient and motivated whilst also being comfortable working as part of a team and following instruction.
