Role: M & E Supervisor / Manager- Construction
Location: Manchester and Preston
Start: April 2025
We are looking for an experienced manager who has worked on M & E projects. Working alongside the site project team to ensure that all onsite delivery are considered.
Key areas of responsibility
Technical :
* Risk Management - Create, update and manage risk register for the clients properties and projects
* Resilience - Ensure resiliency levels are maintained throughout works, identify as part of risk management any shortcomings
* Knowledge - Keep abreast of latest technologies and how these can be used to better serve projects
Commercial :
* Ensuring commercial success of projects, updating senior management via regular reports and CVR reviews
* Assist in creation of estimates with estimation team
* Attend estimating handovers to ensure full transparency on submissions.
* Approval of operatives timesheets and expenses ensuing in line with project costs
* Be responsible for managing the procurement and management of sub-contractors and materials (in conjunction with procurement department) in order to produce relevant procurement schedules
People
* Be a good leader and team player, encouraging growth from within existing teams
* Look to source new talent to the business to strengthen the company objectives and goals
* Have good personable skills to interact with team members, stakeholders and supply partners
H&S :
* Ensuring compliance with all aspects of both Health & Safety Legislation and internal H&S Management System
* Reviewing Sub Contractors Risk Assessments and Method statements
* Conducting regular site audits
* Ensuring company dashboards are up to date and in green
General :
* Compliance with the employee handbook, company processes and procedures
* Where relevant, monitoring operatives' compliance van policy; ensuring relevant weekly checks take place and any issues are escalated as necessary to avoid significant costs to the business
* Undertaking learning and development activities to enable improvement in personal performance effectiveness
* Offering a flexible and pro-active approach to the business, undertaking additional duties that may fall outside of job profile in support of wider business requirements
We are looking for:
* Experience as a M & E Supervisor
* Experience on M & E projects
* Experience with main contractor
* Well-developed knowledge of health & safety
* CSCS
* First Aid
* SMSTS or SSSTS
