Our client is a well-established supplier of accessories who due to their ever-expanding growth have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Compliance & Sustainability Coordinator, to join their team based in Greater Manchester.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Compliance and Sustainability Manager to keep abreast of the ever-changing landscape. As they accelerate the transformation of the business to suit the changing needs of the industry, they need a results-orientated colleague that not only has a passion for product technology, but a strong team working ethos and a healthy commercial aim.
The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic, organised and be able to work at a fast pace. You must be able to work well in a team but also have good initiative to work alone; be able to manage tasks effectively and have good attention to detail.
Responsibilities/tasks
- Can do attitude and an ability to absorb information relating to key sustainability trends in products and raw materials.
- Monitoring factory audit status, guiding factories and arranging audits when required i.e., SMETA.
- Maintaining SEDEX site to ensure audits uploaded, SAQ’s completed, NCs closed and linked with customers where required.
- Maintaining internal audit and certification records of Tier 1, 2 and 3 factories i.e., GRS, RWS, FSC, OEKO-TEX etc.
- Maintain chain of custody certificates for sustainable certifications.
- Work co-operatively with internal colleagues and factories to ensure Company policies, procedures and associated standards are circulated and acknowledged.
- Liaise with factories to complete customer compliance and sustainability questionnaires when required.
- Ability to use customer specific tools and systems.
- Assist with product technical tasks as and when required i.e., product measuring, test report processing.
Role requirements
- Some experience in a similar role desired.
- Graduated with an associated degree desired.
- Good organisational skills, able to prioritise.
- Be able to work well to deadlines.

- Self-motivated
- Overseas travel essential to the role
