My client, a Managed Services business, based in Manchester are looking for a Change Delivery Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Business Change and IT initiatives, ensuring that projects are executed to meet time, cost, and quality standards. The role offers the opportunity to lead and influence key projects within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery Management: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality, while ensuring changes are fully integrated and agreed benefits are realized.
  • Stakeholder Management: Lead projects through the entire lifecycle, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party partners, Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Operations, Legal/Compliance teams, and Technology teams.
  • Planning & Prioritization: Oversee the dynamic and collaborative planning process, balancing the team’s capacity and priorities to ensure the right resources are in place to meet sprint or milestone targets.
  • Transformation of Stakeholder Needs: Work closely with Business Analysts to translate stakeholder requirements into actionable use cases, ensuring clarity and alignment for design requirements.
  • Decision-Making & Issue Resolution: Drive decision-making, issue resolution, and consensus-building across cross-functional teams, always considering the impact on time, cost, and scope.
  • Delivery Accountability: Own the delivery process, ensuring a balanced approach to cost, time, and quality, removing obstacles as necessary to ensure alignment with the business plan.
  • Methodology & Tools: Introduce new tools, methodologies, and frameworks where needed to enhance delivery processes.
  • Agile Promotion: Advocate for the adoption of agile methodologies across the business to drive efficient and flexible delivery.
  • Reporting & Quality Assurance: Implement an effective reporting cycle and collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality, timely project updates and progress reports.
  • Third-Party Management: Manage relationships with key third-party partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with high quality.

Reporting, Relationships & Management:

  • Stakeholder Communication: Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, critical tasks, milestones, and project dependencies.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide clear, concise project updates to stakeholders, both written and verbally, ensuring transparency on project progress and challenges.
  • Benefit Articulation: Capture and communicate the benefits of each project delivery, ensuring stakeholders understand the value being achieved.
  • Third-Party Collaboration: Build and maintain effective working relationships with third-party partners, establishing clear processes and expectations for successful collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, Business Change Manager, or similar, with a track record of delivering projects that impact business operations, ideally within a professional services or business advisory environment.
  • Experience working in a matrix management environment, directing cross-functional teams and influencing resources across various departments.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects in fast-paced business environments, with a strong ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience managing software procurement projects.
  • Strong experience managing both onsite, remote teams, and external suppliers.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, including risk and issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with project budget management and cost control.
  • Proficient in risk management and the use of mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in IT change management and the ability to drive successful technology transformations.
    • Skilled in programme planning, with the ability to contribute to overall planning and suggest improvements to frameworks and processes.
    • Resilient, with the ability to navigate changing circumstances and challenging situations while still achieving objectives.

    Desirable:

    • Prince2 or equivalent qualification.
    • Strong analytical problem-solving skills combined with commercial awareness.
    • Agile/Scrum experience.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools.
    • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Trello, and Microsoft Project.
