Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and operating transport models in multiple software packages
  • Providing strategic analysis for road and rail interventions
  • Executing advanced statistical analysis and developing strategic modelling tools
  • Conducting economic appraisals of various transport options
  • Delivering analytical services to support the Government's Integrated Rail Plan
  • Collaborating with colleagues and partners to meet project needs
  • Preparing compelling and robust evidence for business cases, strategies, and policies
  • Managing development of small areas of TAME's Analytical Framework


Job Requirements:

  • Passion for the role of transport in supporting regional aims
  • Experience in developing effective working relationships with project teams and clients
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • High level of numeracy with strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
  • Experience in analysing, modelling, and assessing future transport demands
  • Knowledge of appropriate transport planning guidance and best practices
  • Experience with transport modelling software such as SATURN, CUBE, or VISUM
  • Qualifications in transport planning, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, geography, or related fields
