We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer who will assist the Device research and testing protocols where you will work with other stakeholders within the (BESS) team, including MEP, Development, and Construction to ensure that any factors that impact the effective operation of our clients BESS assets are understood and actively managed.
The company themselves are ever expanding, this is an opportunity to join a growing global delivery and service team as the ESS Field Service Engineer, providing a challenging yet exciting role working with a variety of projects across the renewable industry, now looking for an ESS Field Service Engineer to come in and carry out planned and unplanned maintenance of renewable energy projects.
Essential Requirements / Experience:
- BESS / Solar experience is essential
- H & S knowledge and experience within electrical installation projects (RAMS / SHEQ /CDM)
- Desirable knowledge of electrical works BS7671 such as renewables, Battery storage Electric Vehicle Charge Pont, PV, Installations etc.
- City and guilds electrical certification level 3 NVQ, 5357 EAL , 2357-13 EAL or equivalent
- ECS card registered with the IEC
- Able to organize and priorities to meet deadlines.

The Role
- Develop an Operation and Maintenance function to fulfil our asset management and O&M objectives as our asset base grows.
- Ensure to deliver O&M services for BESS assets and develop to ensure effective and efficient delivery of works.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that operational and technical escalations are managed in line with regulatory, contractual & commercial obligations.
- Troubleshoot operational issues with our O&M service team and technical partners to identify and resolve issues.
- Identifying areas of need for improvement and further optimisation of the system to enhance further efficiency.
