Ocean Exports Coordinator Manchester£28,000-35,000

Cast UK is looking for a driven and accomplished Ocean Exports Coordinator to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be experienced in Ocean Freight Forwarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and scheduling ocean shipments based on customer requirements and timelines.
  • Coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to secure space on vessels.
  • Preparing and submitting bookings with carriers.
  • Commercial invoices
  • Packing lists
  • Staying up-to-date with country-specific export regulations.
  • Verifying that shipments adhere to import/export compliance laws, including embargoes or sanctions.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, requirements, and issues.
  • Providing updates and handling any inquiries related to ocean exports.

Skills Required

  • Understanding of freight forwarding, shipping processes, and Incoterms.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations and customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of container types, cargo handling, and port operations.
  • Proficiency in preparing export documentation such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions.
  • Attention to detail in ensuring accuracy and compliance with international shipping requirements.
  • Efficient planning and scheduling of shipments to meet deadlines.
  • Managing multiple shipments simultaneously without errors.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including sales, and overseas partners.
