MFD Technical Specialist
Location: Home Field-Based (Northern Midlands Region)
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE Package (Car/Car Allowance, 10% Bonus, Private Medical & More)

We’re working with a global leader in print and imaging to find a Technical Specialist who will play a crucial role in supporting their UK expansion.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys delivering training, and excels at building strong partnerships. Someone who is a skilled MFD engineer who has progressed their career and now wants to expand further by making the next steps into global business.
You'll work with cutting-edge Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs) and provide hands-on technical expertise to resellers and partners, ensuring best-in-class service and support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Act as the go-to technical expert, supporting and developing partners' service teams.
- Deliver technical training to partners and service providers, both remotely and in person.
- Provide advanced second-level technical support for hardware and software issues.
- Manage escalated cases, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs and KPIs.
- Conduct product performance reviews, driving continuous improvements.
- Oversee warranty claims and spare parts management, working closely with supply chain teams.
- Maintain strong communication with partners to enhance service levels and satisfaction.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical teams, providing detailed reports.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of technical strategies.
The Person
An experienced MFD engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems, and ensuring customer success.
Experience:
- At least three years in a senior technical field support role working on Multi-Functional Device equipment.
- Proven experience in delivering training to end users and channel partners.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for software and hardware issues.
- Solid understanding of operating systems, network technologies, and office software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information simply.
- Confident in delivering engaging and informative training sessions.
- Tenacious, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Commercially aware with an eye for leveraging competitive advantages.
Other Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel as part of the role across the North and Midlands, but occasionally further afield.
