Quality Control Supervisor
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: On-site (50% factory floor, 50% office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Quality Control Supervisor to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a robust understanding of food safety standards and a passion for maintaining high-quality production processes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct thorough product input assessments for each batch, including Brix & pH readings, temperature checks, and recording all relevant data.
  • Perform and document shelf life tests and maintain meticulous records.
  • Responsible for the calibration of QC equipment and daily checks of production tools such as scales.
  • Execute glass and brittle plastic checks and ensure compliance with daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Oversee plaster control, knife and glove usage, and packaging traceability.
  • Conduct weekly hygiene site audits, QC product release checks, and monthly internal production-specific audits.
  • Play a key role in the HACCP team, monitoring production CCPs and participating in BRCGS meetings and inspections.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff, ensuring all QC documents are correctly signed off and filed.
  • Maintain and update BRCGS controlled documents and customer specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a HACCP training certification and have a working knowledge of HACCP.
  • Understanding of BRCGS Food Safety standards is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in conducting quality control in a food production environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.
  • Capable of multitasking and meeting strict deadlines.
