They are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance operations for a six-month contract. This interim role will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance, while also supporting ongoing finance transformation projects.
The role offers hybrid - three days from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including financial and management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and tax reporting
- Maintain integrity of accounting systems
- Support and deputise for the Finance Director, including regulatory return sign-off
- Manage regulatory and statutory compliance, including FRS 102
- Supervise and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance, engagement, and compliance with company policies
- Ensure robust financial controls, risk awareness, and adherence to FCA conduct requirements
Background:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Experience in leading a financial control team
- Strong understanding of accounting regulations and financial risk management
- Advanced Excel and system/reporting skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in financial service
