They are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance operations for a six-month contract. This interim role will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance, while also supporting ongoing finance transformation projects.

The role offers hybrid - three days from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including financial and management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and tax reporting
  • Maintain integrity of accounting systems
  • Support and deputise for the Finance Director, including regulatory return sign-off
  • Manage regulatory and statutory compliance, including FRS 102
  • Supervise and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance, engagement, and compliance with company policies
  • Ensure robust financial controls, risk awareness, and adherence to FCA conduct requirements

Background:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in leading a financial control team
  • Strong understanding of accounting regulations and financial risk management
  • Advanced Excel and system/reporting skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in financial service
