We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a well-established ans successful business based in Mansfield.

The ideal candidate for the finance manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the purchase ledger team, ensuring smooth financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling high-volume payments, ensuring invoices, payments, and queries are processed accurately and on time
  • Leading and developing the team, including training, performance management, and ongoing support.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Managing and resolving escalated issues, while implementing long-term solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Overseeing financial processes across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and integration.
  • Monitoring and reconciling accounts payable ledgers, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and other departments.
  • Producing financial reports and insights to support decision-making and assess departmental performance.

The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager role will have supervisory or management experience within a Finance Team, along with:

  • Experience in a high-volume purchase ledger role.

  • Knowledge of cash and banking reporting, including company expenses, internet banking, and bank reconciliations.
  • A strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience in managing, training, and motivating a team to achieve success.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
