Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? Academics Agency have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a PMLD Special School for children aged 4 to 18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support to pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring they feel safe and supported in their learning.
  • Assist with daily hygiene, including toileting, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help with feeding during meal times, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Provide mobility assistance, which may involve helping students move around the school (e.g., using wheelchairs, walkers, or assisting with transfers).
  • Support students in accessing learning materials and participating in classroom activities.
  • Help the student follow instructions, stay focused, and complete assignments.
  • Provide one-on-one attention to students who need individualized support.
