Mason James are partnered with an industry leading UK food manufacuting business based in the Shropshire area. We are looking for an experience Engineering Manager to join the team on a full time, perminent basis. This is a hands-on role, managing a team of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers on a 4 on 4 off Night / Day shift.
Salary Circa: £53,200
Key Duties:
- Assist management in direct oversight of department’s daily operation.
- Supervise and participate in the completion of the assigned PMs to ensure departmental KPI’s.Â
- Perform major repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Develop and maintain relations with the Planned Maintenance Manager, Operations, QA / Technical on manufacturing and operational concerns.
- Supervise the pre- startup of production equipment.
- Assign, train, develop and supervise work of engineering on shift.
- Hands on to support the engineers, ensuring all breakdowns and planned repairs are done effectively.Â
- Evolvement and improve the written PMs to ensure they are affective and give value.
- Good communication and ability to discuss issues, attain good feedback.
- Equipment performance and capability to complete production plan and cost savings.
