The Role

We are a reputable turnkey solution fit-out and refurbishment company, looking to appoint an experienced Head of Projects and Commercial Operations.

You will oversee the financial, operational and quality aspects of our projects. This new role is critical in ensuring alignment with our financial goals, ISO-certified standards and client expectations. You’ll play a key part in delivering projects on time, within budget and to exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Coordination:

    • Lead project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • Conduct regular meetings to assess project status, address challenges, and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Commercial Oversight:

    • Oversee financial management of projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Develop and implement systems for tracking expenses and forecasting future financial needs.

Valuations and Financial Tracking:

    • Standardize processes for issuing valuations to maintain consistency and accuracy.
    • Utilize software tools for real-time budget monitoring and financial reporting.

Budget Allocation:

    • Allocate budgets based on project priorities and potential return on investment (ROI).
    • Monitor expenditures and adjust allocations as necessary to optimize financial performance.

Contract Management:

    • Develop and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Ensure all parties understand and adhere to contract terms to prevent disputes.

Resource Management:

    • Balance workloads among teams, leveraging individual strengths and expertise.
    • Ensure project managers have the necessary resources and support to succeed.

Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks early and develop effective mitigation strategies.
    • Establish robust contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
