A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a people-oriented and highly organised Warehouse Manager to join a very friendly and expanding handling and fulfilment business in Market Harborough on a full time, permanent basis (Mon to Fri days). You will provide essential support to the smooth running of the department from a leadership, customer satisfaction and health and safety perspective.
Reporting into the Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing your team of around 20, with emphasis on performance to ensure that work is delegated and managed correctly in relation to business KPI's. You will ensure processes are adhered to, be procedurally driven, and have a keen eye for detail, working accurately with a right first-time approach. This is a busy site, with multiple clients that have their own particular requirements, so flexibility and adaptability is essential.
In the role you will undertake staff training and development as required, including new starters and manage staff performance effectively. You will ensure acceptable quality standards are always adhered to and all jobs are signed off as completed accurately. You will have strength of character, resilience and be results driven. You will also ensure compliance to Health & Safety procedures throughout the warehouse and ensure good housekeeping and a clean and tidy work area is maintained.
This is the ideal position for an experienced Warehouse Manager with previous experience, preferably in a pick and pack, fulfilment environment. You will possess strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure an efficient service is delivered to your customers within their specified guidelines and timescales. This can be a fast-paced environment, and it is equally important that you can react promptly and with confidence to ad-hoc requests and organisational demands.
It would suit an individual that has worked in SME businesses previously, where they are used to a highly manual warehouse environment. It would not suit an individual who is used to a very large scale, blue chip business where all processes are automated.
