Harvesting Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the harvesting process to achieve quality and quantity targets.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise pickers and supervisors.
  • Plan staffing levels.
  • Assess crop conditions daily and adjust staffing plans accordingly.
  • Ensure proper graze picking to maximize crop yield.
  • Maintain high product standards (weight, size, quality).
  • Organize daily operations and ensure orders are fulfilled.
  • Enforce food safety, health & safety, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor picker performance and address underperformance.
  • Report issues and drive continuous improvement.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in mushroom picking or harvesting.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess crop conditions and plan accordingly.
  • Organizational skills for scheduling and logistics.
  • Good IT and numerical skills for reporting and analysis.
  • Understanding of food safety and health regulations.
