New Recruits Professional Services Ltd, are currently recruiting for a fabricator with TIG/MIG experience to join our client on a temporary to permanent contract. This is an exciting role with progression to go permanent after 12 weeks, if you are available to start immediately and feel this job would be a good fit for you, please do not hesitate to apply.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MIG/Tig Welder is responsible for the fabrication and welding of light to medium gauge steel in line with the detailed engineering drawing provided, occasionally liaising with other departments of the fabrication shop to ensure the fabrication is to the standard required.

MAIN DUTIES OF JOB:

o Read, interpret, and follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions to ensure exact specifications of output.

o Fabricating work in various gauge metals (light to medium)

o MIG welding (predominately mild steel)

o Tig welding (predominately stainless steel)

o Grinding/polishing fabricated items by using various handheld tools and/or dedicated material finishing machinery.

o Perform quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards.

o Ensure production times are met.

o Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.

o Maintain machinery and tools using preventative maintenance methods.

o Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

OTHER DUTIES:

o A degree of flexibility is needed, and the employee may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.

o Experience of working in a fabrication environment (engineering or metal work)

o Demonstrable experience of MIG and Tig welding and fabrication especially with welding mild and stainless steel

o Experience of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and work

o ARC experience

o Spray experience

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour.

Shift: Monday Friday

Hours: 08.00am 16:30pm

Per week: 40 hours

Overtime available: Yes
