Accountant - Accountancy Practise - Marlow - £45,000 - £60,000 per year

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a local Accounting Practise who provide accountancy services to high net worth individuals and corporate companies across the UK.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Qualified Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks, providing expert financial advice, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns for a diverse range of clients.
  • Conduct audits and provide audit support, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning and compliance, helping clients minimise tax liabilities and optimise financial performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, utilising accounting software and other tools.
  • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support their business growth and strategic objectives.
  • Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional customer service and addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and provide informed advice.
  • Support the training and development of junior staff members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience working in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and auditing procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous professional development.
