Our client, an IT reseller often voted one of the best companies to work for in the UK, is looking to recruit a Supplier Development Manager to join their Strategic Sourcing team.
The Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for managing and developing the strategic relationships with our clients distribution partners. The team are also responsible for the effective onboarding of new suppliers negotiating favourable terms and minimising risk to the business. The Supplier Development Manager role is a newly created position to drive value and growth. It's a fantastic time to join and the role offers superb career opportunities.
Salary is up to £44k dep on skills and experience plus £1k bonus and superb benefits.
The successful candidate will be ambitious, analytical with superb attention to detail and excellent communication and influencing skills.
Duties include
- Overall responsibility for up to 5 specific partners
- Improve the partners performance in line with key priorities of providing the best customer service for the best market value
- Understand agreed commercials and aligned vendors from the annual tender process and drive preferential terms for Softcat including payment terms, rebates and service levels
- Identify opportunities for partners to support business growth, with new products, services and revenue generation models
- Responsible for ensuring that our partners work within our expected requirements
- Collaborate with multiple areas of the business including sales, vendor alliances, procurement, finance, multinational and business operations
- Monthly assessment of KPI data to identify areas of strength and improvements to deliver
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve performance across the business for all areas
- Negotiate additional value on large or high value/strategic deals to maximise margin and support sales growth.
