A special needs school based in Marlow and High Wycombe is seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher with QTS to join their compassionate team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to make a real difference in the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and challenging behaviour

  • Responsibility for Learning & Achievement: The teacher will be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in their class/es, ensuring equality of opportunity for each student.
  • High Standards: The teacher will be accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in both work and conduct, setting a positive example for students.
  • Respectful Relationships: Building relationships with pupils rooted in dignity, mutual respect, and maintaining professional boundaries appropriate to the role of a teacher.
  • Collaboration: Work proactively and effectively in collaboration with students, parents/carers, governors, other staff members, and external agencies in the best interests of the students.
  • Compliance with Professional Standards: Act within the statutory frameworks, adhering to the professional duties and responsibilities outlined in the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document (2023) and the Teacher Standards (2021).
  • Safeguarding: Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): The ideal candidate will hold QTS and have a passion for working with students with special needs.
  • Experience with SEN: Experience working with students who have ASD, MLD, SLD, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to Professionalism: A strong commitment to upholding high standards of conduct and maintaining a professional and nurturing environment for students.
  • Collaboration Skills: The ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including parents, staff, and external agencies, to support student progress and wellbeing.
