Key Responsibilities:

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering D&T lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Designing and implementing engaging and practical lessons in product design, materials technology, electronics, and other relevant areas.
  • Creating a classroom environment that encourages hands-on learning, critical thinking, and innovation.
  • Providing constructive feedback on student work and supporting their progress in achieving their potential.
  • Maintaining a safe and productive environment in the classroom and workshops.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the department to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong knowledge of D&T principles and practical applications.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • A creative and hands-on approach to teaching.
  • Availability to start immediately is desirable.
