Long Term Futures is working with an Ofsted Outstanding school in Derbyshire (DE23). We are looking for a Pastoral Assistant to join their team. The school provides a structured and supportive environment for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral support to help students feel safe and engaged.
- Supervise students working outside of regular classroom settings.
- Support senior pastoral staff in maintaining student well-being.
- Identify and escalate safeguarding or pastoral concerns appropriately.
What We're Looking For
- A caring and proactive individual with a passion for student welfare.
- Strong ability to build trust and positive relationships with young people.
- Experience in a pastoral, support, or mentoring role (preferred but not essential).
- Calm and confident in managing challenging situations.
