Your new companyMulti Academy Trust - Derbyshire 3-6 Months Interim Regional Finance Manager Hybrid (ideally on site for first two weeks)Day Rate - Inside IR35 Your new roleOur client, a growing Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), is seeking interim support from a Regional Finance Manager on an interim basis. This role will deputise for the Head of Finance and manage a team of four Finance Managers and one Finance Officer.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the ongoing development of the MAT's financial management systems.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and the Medium Term Financial Strategy.
  • Review monthly monitoring statements with staff in individual academies, resolving any issues and reporting variances/concerns to the Director of Finance.
  • Check and countersign payroll monitoring and journals, and input data into the financial management system.
  • Perform reconciliations, consolidate management accounts, and manage cash forecasts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in financial management within an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
