Job Title: Mechanical Multi-skilled Craftsperson

Location: DerbyshireReports to: Maintenance ManagerAccountable to: Head of Estates

Job Purpose

To perform mechanical maintenance duties as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring a safe and efficient environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain buildings and equipment in line with health and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to management
  • Operate tools, machinery, and technical equipment
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Train and support colleagues in technical tasks
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in the on-call system to provide 24/7 coverage
  • Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and patients

Qualifications and Skills

  • Mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ 3 or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in engineering or a commercial setting
