Macildowie are delighted to be working with a brilliant Public Sector organisation who are eager to find a, fully remote, HR Business Partner to join the team on a permanent basis!

As a HR Business Partner, you will provide strong HR Business Partnering support, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to drive improvement and change. You will contribute to the delivery and embedding of the HR people strategy, proactively addressing people challenges while considering financial, operational, and personnel impacts.

Main Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Transform and strengthen organisational culture with the Head of HR & OD and People Director.
  • Develop and implement the HR strategy across the organisation.
  • Identify and implement improvements in people practices.
  • Embed Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in all HR activities.
  • Develop and embed wellbeing initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with managers and directors, providing HR advice and guidance.
  • Understand departmental objectives and key people issues.
  • Develop and implement pay and compensation strategies.
  • Provide tailored HR advice using metrics and data.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases.
  • Up skill managers on HR practices.
  • Support change management programs.
  • Lead HR projects with proper governance.
  • Manage recruitment initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Fully CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience.
  • Significant experience in a HR generalist role.
  • Proven track record in resolving key people issues and proposing improvements.
  • Experience in complex case management and liaising with trade unions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with HR Information systems and understanding employment legislation.
  • Ability to interpret and act on complex data trends.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of relevant educational legislation and union practices.
  • Training in job evaluation or psychometric assessments.
  • Subject matter expertise in areas like pay and reward, talent profiling, workforce planning, EDI.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Fully remote role
  • Eligible for nine day fortnight
  • 32 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
  • Option to buy and sell up to 5 days
  • Up to 5 mental health and wellbeing days per year
