This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Transport Project Manager (9 month fixed term contract) to lead the selection and potential change of a an outsourced transport and logistics operation in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both project management and transport/logistics management of 3PL providers, drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead transportation projects to ensure operational efficiency.

Description
- Develop and manage robust transportation projects within the logistics department.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the transport operations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify project requirements and deliverables.
- Ensure regulatory compliance within transportation operations.
- Scope, plan and Implement the most effective transport and logistics transfer.
- Monitor and report on project progress and performance.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Foster a culture of safety and sustainability within the 3rd party transport operations.
Profile
A successful Transport Project Manager should have:
- A degree in Logistics, Business Management, or related field.
- Demonstratable experience of ownership of complex transport project palns
- Proven experience in managing transportation projects in an FMCG environment.
- Proven experience utilising Project management methodologies (Prince2, PMP etc.)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A comprehensive understanding of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
