The school is based in the NG10 area. The role is full time and will begin Sept 2024. The hours of work will be 08:30-16:00

The main duties within the role will be:

  • Working in the school's enhanced resource unit
  • Supporting pupils with social and emotional needs
  • Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who struggle to engage in class
  • Leading interventions around positive communication and teamwork
  • Managing the challenging behaviours of targeted individuals

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Is able to build relationships with pupils who present with autism
  • Has at least one years experience working in a school
  • Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management
  • Can communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues
  • Will work effectively on your own and also as part of a team
  • Can act as a positive role model for the children
