I am looking to recruit, on a temporary basis, an experienced Communications and Engagement Officer for 5 days a week (37 hours a week) at £46, 148 – £52,809 per annum ( Afc Band 7 level).  The period of work is from 1st October 2024 until 31st January 2025.  The hire is through the CCS Framework. 

The person must have experience in:

  • Media, Digital and public relations
  • Creating engaging content using a range of tools and by developing strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborating with different departments to ensure a unified message
  • Handling crisis communication scenarios
  • Editing complex information into digital and offline content that is concise, accurate, relevant, and suitable for a non-specialist audience. 
  • Developing creative video content, including scripting, storyboarding, capturing, and editing content
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Using creative tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.

In addition, they should have:

  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to meet specific deadlines, with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a communications role in the public sector .
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments
