SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Buyer for their client based in Derbyshire. This is a full-time 12 month FTC role with a salary paying up to £37,000. To be considered for this role you need to be immediately available or on a short notice.
This is an exciting, dynamic role supporting the Direct Procurement team covering maternity leave. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be required to procure raw materials.
This role involves a combination of purchasing activities, data entry, and report generation.
Suitable candidates must have prior Buying experience. It is essential you have excellent communication skills as you will be required to regularly liaise with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to have excellent analytical skills to regularly report and extract data. You must be a confident negotiator in order to liaise with suppliers and build strong relationships.
Main Duties
- Source and negotiate prices with suppliers for raw materials
- Form contracts for the purchase of raw materials.
- Administer purchasing processes
- Ensure timely delivery and adherence to purchase orders.
- Resolve supply chain issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Arrange logistics when required.
- Delivering the right material, at the right price, in the right volume at the right time
Experience with MRP/ERP systems is essential - SAP would be desirable. This is a fast-paced role and you must be a quick thinker and be able to work independently. You will be required to work to deadlines within a timely manner.
