Our client based in Chesterfield is recruiting for a Plater Welder or strong structural steel Fabricator Welder to join their team on a permanent basis. This company manufactures components and products for the structural steel industry and is mainly bespoke work offering a big variety in what they can offer. The work is all mild steel from 3mm - 40mm gauges. They can offer lots of overtime at the moment if that's something you are looking for.
Job Description -
- Company manufacture products for the structural steel industry
- This role will be all workshop based
- Welding and fabricating heavy gauge steelwork
- Taking the jobs from start to finish
- Working predominantly with mild steel
- 3mm - 40mm gauges
Essential skills
- Ideally be apprentice trained in fabrication or plating
- Must be able to fabricate from scratch and take the job from start to finish
- Able to use fabrication machinery including presses, pillar drills and guillotines
- Able to mark out own work
- Confident measuring, cutting and forming metal
- Competent working from complex engineering drawings
Package
- Up to £31,200 per annum
- Day shifts Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
- Ample overtime available all paid at premium
- On-site parking
